I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really going ahead.
